Spring is finally in the air! It is wonderful to see the leaves popping out, the flowers starting to bloom, and to have temperatures hit the 70’s this week. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our April meeting. We have seen a lot of new faces and met a lot of new WNA residents, which has been wonderful! Please keep this momentum going by inviting a new neighbor to join us next month. . . .
With spring comes an important community tradition: our Annual Spring Cleanup Day! We invite all residents to join us at Fox Run Elementary School (228 Fillow Street) on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:00am (please note revised date); all volunteers will be given trash bags and litter pickers. Even if you only have an hour to give, your cleanup efforts will go a long way in terms of helping our environment and increasing the beauty of our neighborhoods.
And after cleaning, feel free to stop by the Norwalk Earth Day Festival, which will be held on the Norwalk Green between 12:00 – 4:00pm, featuring live music, food trucks, tree plantings, kids activities, yoga, a beer garden, and more!
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, May 6th at 7:30pm in the Fox Run Elementary School Library.
We are extremely excited to welcome representatives from both the Norwalk Police Department (NPD) and the City of Norwalk’s Transportation, Mobility and Parking (TMP) Division to speak about our traffic safety concerns that evening.
In preparation for that presentation, we invite all WNA members to fill out the following survey to highlight your questions and concerns. There will be a lot of ground to cover at the meeting and there may not be a chance for everyone to speak, so we will be collecting and providing your responses to the presenters ahead of time.
