Friday, December 12, at the festively decorated Dolce Center proved to be a particularly warm and friendly evening with old and new neighbors enjoying delicious appetizers, desserts and conversation. A beautiful fire in the grand fireplace made the scene even more delightful. We were particularly pleased that so many young families attended and the children had a good time as well.
This party was the time for Gay Mac Leod and Linda Forcellina to say farewell as co-presidents for the last two tumultuous years. Galen Wells and Ron Paladino also finished their terms and were thanked for their service. Gay spoke of the many accomplishments of their presidency and Linda introduced the officers for 2015: Anthony Carrano, President; Ken D’Arinzo, Vice-President; Brian Forschino, Treasurer and Lucy Arecco, Secretary.
This year we had two special offers. First, we welcomed the Boy Scout Troop from Fox Run School to sell coffee and lollipops, another way to support young people in West Norwalk. And they made well over $100 from the many residents who purchased their products. Secondly, Alex Rosenfeld, a professional photographer who lives in West Norwalk, offered to take candid pictures of the event at no cost to the association as his contribution to our neighborhood.
