Neighborhood Watch: Keeping Each Other Safe
Here in West Norwalk, residents participate in the Neighborhood Watch program. What does this mean? We:
- Look out for each other.
- Report any suspicious activity in our neighborhoods.
- Help others who are in danger.
- If you are in danger or feel like you may be in danger, we come together as a community to solve the problem.
Throughout West Norwalk, there are signs with the logo above reminding everyone that this is strongly enforced in our neighborhoods. The Norwalk Police Department reminds you to do the following:
- Ensure that all doors (house, car, garage, etc.) are closed and locked when you are not near them.
- Enable your house alarm system before you leave (if you have one).
- Report any suspicious activity.
If a crime is in progress, do not hesitate to call 911. If there is a non-emergency event or you would like to report something, please call the Norwalk Police Department at (203) 854-3000.
By working together, we can keep our neighborhoods free from crime and deviant acts.
