Minutes West Norwalk Association Board of Directors Meeting
September 8, 2008

Directors in attendance: Peggy Yff, Ron Paladino, Joel Zaremby, Jim Hirshfield, Regina Krummel, Chris Potts, Bob Wagman

Meeting called to order at 7:35 PM.
August minutes approved.
Financial report showed $8,870.86, approved.

Old Business

Dolce: Peggy to speak with Larry Cafero re: Dolce. Also, A wedding was held there Saturday night that extended past 11PM. Peggy to talk with Chris Dolce, Joel to investigate penalty of ignoring zoning laws.

Flooding: Residents of McKendry court in Rowayton had to be evacuated during the storm on Saturday night. Bob Wagman stated that of public officials, only Chris Shays has maintained an interest in solving crisis.

New Business

Annual Meeting
Peggy waiting for remaining articles for newsletter. Intent is to get it out the week of 9/15. A discussion took place to have the meeting on 10/5 at I Figlii D’Italia for $1200 including appetizers, staff, wine, beer and soda for 100 people. Ron to check cost for using catering place on Connecticut Avenue for comparison. Public officials will be invited. Joel to provide a list to Peggy.

Website/Skip
Peggy currently using her contacts to maintain website. Will check with Pat Stewart regarding same.
A donation of $1000 was approved by the board to the Meeting House in memory of our late board member Charles Wilhelm.

Meetings
A discussion took place as to whether we should have future meetings at the Meeting House or NCC. Both options remain open. A discussion was begun as to whether with the current Dolce situation, whether we should have our Holiday party at Dolce this year. No decisions made.

Next meeting October 2, to discuss format for Annual meeting on October 5.

Meeting adjourned 8:55pm.
