Board Composition- Effective with the November Board meeting, the following directors were reelected: class of 2006: Peg Yff and Jim Forcellina; class of 208: Jim Hirshfield, Ron Paladino, and Joe Sette; Class of 2009 Joan Dane Louis Santos, and William VanDeventer.
Joel Zaremby, guest at this meeting, requested membership on the Board. After a short autobiography, he was unanimously elected and now makes the 9th member. He lives at 6 Old Rock Lane, 838-7194, 917 754-7170 cell, [email protected].
The following were elected Board Officers: President, Joe Sette; Vice-President, Peggy Yff; Secretary, Jim Forcellina; Treasurer, Louis Santos.
Adopt-a Spot/Plantings – Fillow and Hunters Lane ready for planting. Much discussion about when, signs and cost. There was more said about the 4 Pazzi involvement. It was left that Peg would talk to Joe and set up a time to plant the Fillow/Hunters Lane site for now using the already submitted plans and put up the appropriate signs which would conform to the city’s rules. There was general consensus among the Board members present that someone should again get with 4 Pazzi owner and see if some kind of compromise can be worked out so that both the Association and the restaurant owner can mutually benefit. The Fillow/Fox Run site would be deferred to a later time.
Bob Wagman was voted to officially represent WNA at all of the Coalition meetings.
Agenda items for November suggested: Term limitations, currently 2, committee assignments and methods to replenish the woefully inadequate treasury.
David Frishkorn our outgoing Treasurer and long time Board member is due many accolades for all of his contributions to the West Norwalk Association. We look forward to his continued presence in the affairs of the Association as he conducts the transition of treasurer’s duties to Louis Santos.
Board Members: NOTA BENE – Please update your email distribution to delete all former Board members and add the new member, Joel Zaremby whose pertinent info is listed above. All in all there are now 9 Board members and 1 member emeritus, Bob Wagman.
