Minutes West Norwalk Association Board of Directors Meeting
November 3, 2008

Directors in attendance: Peggy Yff, Ron Paladino, Joel Zaremby, Chris Potts, Bob Wagman, William Van Deventer, Chris Potts.

Guests: Gay Mac Leod, Candide Valadares

Meeting called to order at 7:40 PM.
October minutes approved.
Financial report showed over $8,000, approved.

Old Business

Holiday Party: Two dates were selected for the Holiday Party which was unanimously approved to be at Dolce. Dates are December 13 or December 11. Peggy to contact Chris Dolce. Peggy and Chris Potts to work on mailing and notice on website by November 15. Signs to be placed around West Norwalk after Thanksgiving.

Flooding: Bob Wagman expressed his frustration at the lack of cooperation by the neighbors affected by flooding of Five Mile River. Wants to get people to show up at Board of Estimate meeting to get the issue of flooding on the agenda. Needs neighbors to speak up. Bob will have private conversation with Mayor Moccia. Joel offered to set up meeting with Bob Duff.

Adopt A Spot Planting; Gay Mac Leod said she planted bulbs at both spots using old bulbs and some purchased with money awarded by Stew Leonard. Balance of money will wait till spring plantings.

New Business

Election of Officers
Peggy Yff has been reelected President, Ron Paladino, Vice President, Joel Zaremby, Secretary, James Forcellina, Treasurer, Chris Potts, Corresponding Secretary. William Van Deventer will back up the treasurer as needed.

Clean Up Day: As proposed by Regina Krummel we will have a West Norwalk Clean up day scheduled on December 6, weather permitting. It will begin at 8:30am at The Krummel house for a period of two hours. Refreshments will be graciously provided by the Krummels at the conclusion. Chris will send out an email blast to residents encouraging them to join us. The intention is to cover Little Fox Lane to Fillow and Fox Run school area.

CNNA: Representation is needed at the CNNA meetings. Chris Potts has offered to cover November, while Peggy volunteered to attend in December.

New Board Members: Candide Valadares has offered to consider joining the board. We need to think of others we wish to invite to join and ask them to attend the next meeting.

 

Next meeting December 1.

Meeting adjourned 8:45pm.
