Special Meeting March 23, 2012
A special meeting was held at Chris Potts house on March 23, 2012. Those in attendance were Donna Dolle, Peggy Girard, Ken D’Arinzo, Regina Krummel, Gay MacLeod, Galen Wells, and Chris Potts,
The meeting was called to order at 7:45.
The first discussion was about the date of the next meeting. Chris agreed to see if it could be moved to April 3rd instead of April 2nd.
Gay presented the Application for the Scholarship as well as a cover letter and other material. There was a discussion about the wording including the question asking the applicant to detail work he had done to benefit West Norwalk. Agreement was reached on wording for the application.
There was then discussion of the amount of the scholarship. The amount guaranteed by the WNA seemed too small at $250, even though we had been assured that even small amounts would be appreciated. Several of the board members present agreed to give more. Anyone can contribute by mailing a check to Donna Dolle at 28 Geneva Road, Norwalk CT 06850. Her email is [email protected]. Contribution can also be made online at the West Norwalk web site.
The Board also agreed to establish a permanent Scholarship fund. Donations to the fund will be collected at events when we collect dues.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
