Minutes West Norwalk Association Board of Directors Meeting
June 2, 2008

Directors in attendance: Peggy Yff, Ron Paladino, Joel Zaremby, Regina Krummel, Chris Potts, Charles Wilhelm.

Visitors: Gay MacLeod, Ron Brown, Dorothy Fosina

Meeting called to order at 7:30PM.

Dorothy Fosina attended to ask for help in her petition to receive help for the  nine neighbors living at the Ponus Extension. They have been bothered by people having sex in their cars, teens smoking pot and overall cars going down their road looking for the Merritt. Suggestions were to make the police come out so reports can be filed, neighborhood watch, motion lights and lights in driveways and alerting city hall that disabled residents live on the block.
The WNA has agreed to send a letter to public officials supporting the petition.

Peggy gave out minutes of small group meeting held with Dolce on May 22. She has asked Larry Cafaro to review minutes for accuracy and upon confirmation it will be placed on the WNA website. It was asked that mailings be sent out alerting residents that to get updates on Dolce to please check the WNA website regularly.

  • Frank Zullo and Larry Cafaro will discuss any open issues.
  • WNA will review application prior to sending out mailing to get WN residents position.
  • WNA wishes to be kept informed of any zoning or permit changes in WN area. Regina stated that Bill Krummel will obtain this information for us from Mike Green, Division of Planning and Zoning as applicable.

Congressman Shays will work with SWERPA on 5 Mile River issues.

WNA received $100 gift cards for Stew Leonards from Steve Wallerstein in appreciation of the adopt a spots we own.

The mailing list needs to be updated.

Next meeting July 7, possibly at Meeting House as NCC is closed then.

Meeting adjourned 8:52pm.
