Minutes of the West Norwalk Association

July 11, 2011

Board Members present were: Joel Zaremby, Galen Wells, Donna Dolle’, Linda Forcellina, Bob Wagman, Chris Potts, Ron Brown, Regina Krummel, Ron Paladino, and Anthony Carrano.  Gay Mac Leod and Ken D’Arinzo were guests.

President, Joel Zaremby, called the meeting to order at 7:35.  He welcomed the Board and visitors to the meeting.

Galen Wells presented the minutes of the May meeting. Linda Forcellina moved to accept the minutes and Chris Potts seconded the motion.  The minutes were unanimously accepted with the corrections.

Linda Forcellina presented the Treasurer’s Report.  The association has $5,600.00 in the bank.  The expenses during the period were very minor. Bob Wagman moved to accept the Treasurer’s Report and Donna Dolle’ seconded the motion.  The Treasurer’s Report was unanimously accepted.

Joel then opened a discussion about the Annual Meeting.  It will be held on the top floor and we will have inexpensive (but good) food. Joel will open the meeting.  Linda will speak about Ambassadors and Bob will speak about flooding.  Chris will also speak.  The following politicians will be invited:  Candidates for Mayor, Town Clerk, Council at Large, Council for District E, Board of Education for District E.

For the newsletter, Peggy will lay it out and we will shoot for getting it out by August 15th.

A general discussion of candidates for officers of the WNA for the coming year followed.  Bob Wagman, chairman of the nominating Committee, suggested Chris Potts for President.  Galen Suggested having an assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer so that these jobs could be shared if someone is out of town or cannot attend a meeting.  The discussion will continue at the next meeting.

A brief discussion of the Holiday Party was held.  It will be the week of the 5th or the 12th.  Gay will check on the availability of Dolce.

Several baskets are ready to go to new people in West Norwalk.  Joel will write a letter to put in the baskets.

The next board meeting will be on August 1st at the West Norwalk Chapel.

Linda moved to adjourn the meeting and the motion was seconded by Chris.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:40

Respectfully submitted,

Galen Wells, Secretary
