Old Business
WNA Boundaries: A follow up discussion took place as to whether we redesign our boundaries to include other streets in the surrounding area and to change the bylaws to allow residents who border WN to join the association and become members of the board. Chris Potts will lay out scenarios and send to members to discuss online prior to next meeting
Flooding: Bob Wagman expressed frustration at the lack of action in addressing the serious flooding of the 5 Mile River. In fact there appeared to be limited interest from river residents in general. Galen Wells said that many of her neighbors would get involved. Bob will draft a letter to river residents with the intent of getting them involved and attending city hall meetings where they can detail their frustrations. Bob will also contact Bob Duff to bring him up to speed as to what has or hasn’t taken place regarding the issue.
New Business
Dues: As per a suggestion by our treasurer, Chris Potts will send an email blast to all members requesting they send in their 2009 dues.
Tree Advisory Committee: Gay Mac Leod who is our representative said that the city will plant a tree in West Norwalk and maintain it for one year. Location to be determined.
New Board Members: Galen Wells and Candide Valadares have expressed interest in joining the board of directors. This will be addressed at the February meeting.
Dolce Update: Bill Krummel informed us that the Dolce filing with the zoning commission was under the name “Broad Reach Capital Partners Ct. properties, LLC formerly Dolce”. The amendment presented to zoning on January 8 includes the amendments to the filing put in by Larry Cafero as agreed to by the abutting neighbors.
Next meeting February 2.
Meeting adjourned 8:38 pm.
